Location is one of the major factors when buying property. It is also vital when writing a novel. Every character in a story is in a setting. As the characters move from place to place so should the reader. To do so, the writer must create the world of the characters with words that enable the reader to see, feel, smell, and taste the environment in the same way as the people in the story. In doing so, the reader is connected, involved and living within the setting of the protagonist.
In some storylines, the setting may be as important as the characters. It could be menacing, peaceful, majestic, small, beautiful or ugly. But whatever it is, it’s vital to the storyline.
Here are a few images taken in Galveston, Texas. This is an essential location in my novel.
